There’s a disturbing monkey trend in retail. Recently, IKEA Monkey got a hashtag. And this monkey at Wal-Mart got some well-deserved press. But where are the hats!?

I’m not a marketing expert, but monkeys without hats are like ham without burger — a big, freakin’ letdown. Take the following as an example:

Want to buy this monkey? Of course you don’t. You want that stupid ass parrot. It’s not because you want a parrot…it’s because the MONKEY is not wearing a HAT. And you know you aren’t leaving that pet store unless you bring something messy, stinky, expensive, and irrational home for your spoiled ass kid. Simple as that.

So here’s the plan, guy who tries to sell everything with puppies, kids, and sexy women: monkeys in hats sell. And gal who brings her monkey to IKEA? You clearly know the value of an amazing hat…why deprive your pet? Selling yourself means selling your monkey. You failed. And people of Wal-Mart: anything less than a monkey with a hat is unsophisticated. Look it up.

What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is the beginning of the end of any nation. According to research by Daniel Kahneman, Alan B.
